Because you have to keep sending books and pencils and they are far more bulky and expensive than these laptops. Now imagine sending one consignment of laptops and a server with some hard drives full of books through a wartorn nation. Now compare that to sending many consignments of paper which will run out and need replacing and many books which can be lost forever rather than renewed from a secure online repository. They're not suggesting that you give one of these instead of food or medical aid... that would be ridiculous. The thing is, its a one off donation. you wouldn't necessarily have to keep giving these things. It's essentially providing a massive library to each child, one that won't need every book or pen and paper to be delivered repeatedly. One for every child is ambitious and maybe not the most realistic early strategy but a goal or mission is important.This one is outstanding!

Most of its purpose is to provide a cheaper alternative to books. In essence its a multifunctional, web-ready, very rugged low price low power e-reader. Most kids in America have access to books, teachers etc... It's up to the American government to get these to American kids, I'm sure the company would have no problem with that.

Lita Ford was successful also, Joan Jett is on the "Rock" side of things and Lita is on the "Metal" side. Joan had more notable success but you can't have a female lead guitarist and not compare them to Lita. If you have a female lead guitarist the quote will always be " she can't play as good as Lita". Joan doesn't get compared to any female rhythm guitarists.

actually you can here let me show you: the GTR can hit 0-60 in 3.5 but the EVO has more seats therefore more praticality. If you want atheracecar/supercar feel then go with the GTR but if you want something that doesnt stick out as much and has the ability to carry a family take the EVO. :P
